MPPT solar regulator might help?

I have 8 X 123 watt solar panels. They do particularly well except in May, June which is of course is the time of our shortest days here down under. But for most of the year we get at least 3.5 kwh a day. That fills our requirements at present for most part. I believe a MPPT solar regulator will help. I now of 2 which would be suitable. Once I have the MPPT solar regulator I can also move the panels a little bit from the batteries to where the shade from the bush and mountain ridge beside us falls later in the day and resides earlier in the day. That could give me an extra hour of sun, not peak sun but will help. The MPPT solar should help with cloudy days also.

Putting all we can into building the house for the moment so budget priorities dictate that the MPPT will have to wait and time priorities dictate the panels moving will also have to wait.  We are living on our property at the moment in a caravan and garage.

We’ve had overcast weather the last couple of days (hopefully get some rain out of it) means I’ve had to run the generator a fair bit. Kind of wish I had bought a diesel generator in the beginning now. Particularly with the price of petrol as it is now. Oh well one step forward at a time.
